We the living must ensure that their sacrifice was not in vain. By their sacrifice, they give us our strength, our vibrancy. SACRIFICE – Their sacrifice in the name of peace and freedom have made this nation what it is today. Our liberties, our values, all for which America stands, is safe today because brave men and women have been ready to face the fire at freedom’s front.
HONOR –There is no more noble honor than to serve our great nation. They have dedicated their lives to their country and deserve to be recognized for their commitment. We are the torchbearers of their legacy, and we must not let them, their stories or their cause be forgotten.ĭUTY – Just as our veterans answered their nation’s call of duty, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. They gave us a better world than they inherited, and we are indebted to them. Truly reflecting and accurately commemorating these great heroes means being there for their parents, spouses, children, and grandchildren for generations to come. Creating a healing environment unmatched by any other organization, these cathartic programs have taken thousands of veterans to over forty conflict areas covering twenty-five countries to pay reverence to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, TGGF is the only non-governmental organization whose purpose is to enable veterans to return to their battlefields and to gain closure from Combat Stress Reaction (CSR), most frequently known as shell shock or battle fatigue or PTSD while at the same time educating youth about key war events and their relevance. He determined that veterans would benefit significantly from the opportunity to return to a foreign battlefield to find some measure of closure where they felt the impact of war brutalities and provide a direct link of understanding to memorialize the service of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for posterity.
Inspired by his family's experience serving alongside American Forces in both World Wars, Davis recognized the need to provide financial assistance to veterans. Since its inception in 2004, The Greatest GENERATIONS Foundation (TGGF) has touched thousands of veterans' lives through many battlefield programs, organized programs to national and international destinations, and other activities relating to their service to ours.įounded by Australian native Timothy Davis, TGGF has advanced the cause of remembrance admiration and rendered emotional closure to veterans by returning them to battlefields, memorials, and cemeteries where they fought - ALL AT NO COST TO THE VETERANS.
